You'll definitely not be short of ways to earn money online, but as a beginner you will feel like you are just wasting your time trying them with no results.
How to begin.
I am certain you will understand the things you are good at are the things you enjoy. The same thing goes for making money online. You will have to put quite a lot of effort into what you do to be able to beat the competition, so it is very important do something that you actually enjoy. Create a list of a few of the things you enjoy. It can be writing, selling products, designing graphics...make the list as lengthy as you like.
Create your list in to a lucrative plan
Using your list of things you enjoy doing, you can transform it into a terrific money making plan. Let's call it a brainstorm. The thing about brainstorming is that it opens the mind and helps you to span an idea. Use a separate piece of paper for each activity you wrote down. On each piece of paper, fill it will all the ideas you can think of for that activity. You will be surprised at the things you come up with. Don't be concerned if your ideas aren't ways of making money, the thing concerning the internet is you can build an income many different ways. The internet is not just about e commerce.
Getting going
The value of planning is extremely important. Many folks jump in with an idea without accurately planning. You have to see what your potential earnings will be, goals need to be set and research has to be done. One of things you will want to do now is to press on with so much passion, be careful though not to fail before you have started. Do not be over keen to start all your money making ideas. Commence with one, and when that one is fully setup, then consider another, not before.
How to make sure you succeed
Your biggest problem will be your competition, but with your determination plus your pre-planning will help you to achieve success. You need to make sure you are always one step ahead of them and offering an alternative approach.
You might have realized that I haven't given you many examples of ways to make money. This is because I want you develop your personal way of thinking early on. Growing your own ideas will make you unique and stand out from everyone else. Early on I said that it was significant to do something you enjoy, well this is actually the one thing that will help beat your competition. As a beginner you are able to succeed amongst all those that have been doing it many years by. Making money online is more achievable if you have your own ideas, your own ways and bags of enthusiasm.

Affiliate Programs: How they help to make you money
To make money from a website you already have up and running, you may want to consider joining an affiliate program.
If you don't have your own website yet then a good idea would be to get in contact with a web designer who has experience with affiliate marketing.
If you become an affiliate, it means you earn from advertising other merchants products via your website, by the placing of banners or text links on your site.
A visitor may go to your website and then click on one of the banners, they then go straight to their website, make a purchase from them and you make a commission on the sale.
Unfortunately you won't make much by simply putting a banner on your website unless you're one of the lucky ones who receive thousands of visitors on a daily basis.
But by implementing a few simple marketing techniques even the smallest site could earn you a decent income.
A first priority would be to link yourself to a merchant whose goods would be bought by the type of visitors you get to your site, don't try and advertise pet food when your website is about building your own PC.
To begin try taking a look at one of the best affiliate network directories, the 'Commission Junction' it won't cost a penny and neither will it if you link up with a listed merchant.
The whole process has been made very straightforward with no programming expertise necessary.
Advertising other peoples' products is a good way of earning an income via your site, you're simply pointing someone in a particular direction and your job is done.

Blogging for cash
There's a strong possibility you have mixed thoughts about using your blog to make money, it's not uncommon for some to think it's unethical, evil or uncool then the best thing to do is not commercialise it at all.
If the whole idea of monetizing your blog sits OK with you then have a go or if you think it's evil on the other hand then that's OK as well.
But you have to be absolutely clear in your mind that you want to do it before you even begin, because trying to generate income from blogging is difficult enough without having to deal with some form of self-sabotage holding you back.
You ought to feel great about generating income this way there's not much wrong about being eager to succeed.
If your blog has real, genuine value, then you deserve to earn something from it.
You can't be timid about the whole thing though if you put ads on there, really put those ads in there the same with requesting donations, don't be shy.
There's always a few people who will complain when you commercialise a free site, they always do.
Is it possible for you to make a proper income online? Undoubtedly. It may take longer if you have a day job but if you're committed the opportunity is there.
